Making The Most Of Facebook for Your Business

I personally believe it’s now stale hearing or reading of the benefits of Facebook to your business. We may all have different opinions on this. If you are reading this, there is great possibility you have read other articles of such, it’s all over the internet. Well, this article is not going to be just on the gains, but few tips on how to use Facebook effectively to aid your business.

There are;
835,525,280 Facebook Users, in the World.
48.3 Million Facebook Users, in Africa.
*5,288,960 Monthly Active Users (MAU) in Nigeria (Which ranks Nigeria 36st In the Facebook Statistics by country)

*As of 16/04/2013
With the above statistics, this is enough benefit, considering the numbers and looking at its monetary value to your business.

Every business or start up should have a marketing plan or promotional campaign, in doing this make sure to include your Facebook URL or link (ex. ) on whatever materials you have made or use for this purpose (Business Cards, Flyers, posters, press releases and posts on other internet sources). Most people tend to visit your Facebook Page before they actually visit your website because they want to see how active your business is, and if the potential customers/clients finds something interesting or wants to keep track of you and or your business they could “Like” the page; and increased page likes equals increased awareness!
In today’s world people tend to ignore messages from businesses, brands, products and services if they can’t seem to find them on Facebook, yeah I’m one of them.

Facebook remains the number one of the best photo/image sharing social network. Having a nice company/business, or brand image/logo on Facebook wouldn’t be a bad idea, would it? You could also upload projects; events and every other image that could help sell your business/brand to the world. In the bid of having images uploaded to your page, pleeeease avoid posting personal pictures this could be of friends or family, why? It’s simply not a good idea, except for sure it has to do with what your business stands for or has to do with your brand… “Image is everything” they say!

Getting more people to view and like, as in  your page, keep marketing it! It’s important that you make your page highly interactive; the more interactions that go on a page the more views by friends of your circle and the friends in the circle of other participants also get to see your page through the activities on your page. More views gets earn you more ‘likes’.

“The world is a global village”, Facebook is a community, and your Page is an office. Imaging opening the door to an office and you meet no one nor even a sign of business activities going on there, Bingo! That’s exactly the same kind of feeling you have when you come across a Facebook page that seems desolate with scanty or no activities on it.  Spend time on your page or at least get someone who can, I do not mean losing sight of other important issues and duties. A minimum of 10-30 minutes per day could do, minimum!

After all that is said or would ever be suggested by anyone on how to make the most out of Facebook, I would like to include; Find your style, your rhythm, your niche whatever, just find out what works best for you and your business!

Finally brethren, even with all the technologies of our time, Rome will still not be built in a day! So keep at it harness all available means and media including Facebook to build your business, persistently and continually keep at it you eventually will be glad you made an effort! Not all efforts yield success, but I believe failure is not the inability to succeed it’s a means to succeed!
